The Service Excellence Programme roadshows were created and delivered in September to provide a greater level of clarity about our vision, the projects we are progressing and the timescales in which these will be delivered.
We were delighted with the level of attendance and engagement from each of the three events that were held at the King’s Building’s, George Square and The Vet School at Easter Bush, respectively.
The Service Excellence Programme (SEP) itself is a hugely important and highly complex undertaking that connects with almost every facet of the University’s functions, the scope of which can make communicating its agenda quite challenging.
There’s the transformation of professional services delivery for staff and students, and the evolving models of how we will deliver those changes in the near and longer-terms.
Alongside sits the procurement and then implementation of a new enterprise wide IT system that will underpin new finance, HR, payroll and procurement working processes.
And in amongst those objectives are an array of project-level initiatives, each with their own set of ongoing benefits realisation for students and staff alike, as we seek to align this work with the activities of other large-scale programmes, like Digital Transformation and Estates Transformation.
Yet at the core of Service Excellence are two simple, fundamental objectives; one is about improving the quality of service to staff and students, and the second is about delivering our services more efficiently by removing any duplication and wasted effort.
In order to continue to keep colleagues informed about our progress towards these objectives, we are hosting another SEP Roadshow on Monday 30 October at Playfair.
Colleagues will be able to book on the MyEd Event Booking site from next week.
We will also be hosting a roadshow at Little France later in the year, so please stay tuned for further information.
So on behalf of the Programme we would like to thank everyone who attended, and we have made roadshow materials available to you via the SEP Dashboard.
